The Kitronik Discovery Kit for BBC micro:bit is designed specifically for beginners taking their first steps into coding, electronics and physical computing. Five progressive experiments introduce electronic components and circuit building without assuming previous experience.

The tutorial explains how to use a breadboard and Microsoft MakeCode before guiding students through LED control, a buzzer jukebox, sequential lighting, a digital LED thermometer and a pedestrian traffic-light system. Each experiment includes a code walk through, circuit diagram and breadboard layout to help students understand both the programming and the electronics behind their project.

Everything required for the five experiments is supplied apart from the BBC micro:bit and USB cable. No soldering is required, and once the activities are complete the breadboard system can be reused for further experimentation.
